Give The Attackers A Trial?

The latest and greatest controversy has been uttered by our great and powerful President. He wants to try those responsible for the 9/11 attacks in New York. And to this I say, seriously?

No judge or jury will ever utter the word innocent in this case. It's ridiculous. Is there even a single person in that area who would not be considered "prejudiced?"

This is ignorant and stupid and is just giving the evil men responsible a chance to rip open the barely healed wound.

Someone had turned on CNN in the chow hall the other morning when they were discussing this, and one of the anchors asked the question, "Would the prosecutors pursue the death penalty in this case?"

Do you actually need to ask that question? I wanted to smack her upside the head. Gee, let's think about this one. They only murdered 3,000 people. That number doesn't even take into account the amount of people who have fallen sick and died later because of what they inhaled while trying to save the poor souls who were trapped, and later, to recover bodies.

Now Congress is arguing over whether or not the trial should happen. Dems say yes, Republicans steadfastly dissagree.

Know what's even more ridiculous? The lawyer, and yes, the "main" man responsible has a lawyer, says that the confession should be thrown out because he was coerced. Documentation shows that he was waterboarded about 183 times. Now, I'm sorry, but he was put into Gitmo for a reason. And don't even get me started on waterboarding and why it should be continued. As a senior in high school, my AP English class did presentations on torture, modern and ancient. Waterboarding is ridiculously nice compared to what other countries have done, and, in some cases, still do.

Anyways, I want to hear what you have to say about this trial. Yea, or nay?

  1. This comes at a time when our dear leader plays on the people to be nice, we should forgive those that did us harm because they just dont know any better. We 'tortured' them by giving them a safe place to sleep, the healthiest of foods and well needed helthcare. Why? because at gitmo , they have rights. They were brought there not for a speeding ticket and not paying their rent on time, but because they were caught red handed commiting a vile crime. The media plays the sympathy card and hides facts. Because Dems r good Reps are bad. Should we put these guys on trial? I say no! set them free back in their own lands. Ofc because we treated them so harshly, I feel they should be awarded as much money as possible also, maybe like 20,000us each. I know after all they did your thinking have I lost my mind, well yes , i have a little bit but really. send them all back, 1st class plane seats. now that look all happy and healthy, well fed and fit like a marine. And with pockets of cash and smiles, patting them on the backs and saying we are sorry, your free to go while we smile at the CNN an BBC cameras. Now think about all thier friends back home waiting for them, they havent eating in weeks. Would you think they will see the sun rise the next day. We set them free because they told us everything they knew, regardless if they did or didnt say anything. what would their think about the fat healthy friend with a pocket of cash :D
We dont need to judge them.

Footnote: I could be wrong, but months ago I heard that 6 of the most dangerous ones were about to be given places to stay in america, with ofc, money health care and all you could want. That was one of the things barak planned to do. Oh and not make thier location known, because they may be harmed if the people knew who they were. What a nic guy huh

  2. I completely agree with your idea. A couple of well placed comments on the media about how we had "inside informants" that gave us intel, then send them back nice and healthy.

Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if we gave amnesty to several dangerous criminals, to tell you the truth. Our entire system is broken. Too many dirty politicians and government employees. I wouldn't be surprised if these Tea Parties continued until everyone in Congress is brand new. But that, alas, is another story altogether.
